Committee Members

The Annual General Meeting was held on 22nd January 2012 and we are proud to announce the following appointments:

Craig Smerdon has been re-elected President of the Kawungan Football Club for his 3rd term. This will be Craig’s 10th year as a senior player at the Club. The past three years he has been on the Kawungan Committee and last year he coached the Under 6 teams in which his daughter, Abbi, was a player. Craig believes that Kawungan Football Club is here to support the players and in particular the families involved in the Club. His own young family is testament to these beliefs. Craig runs his own development consultancy company in Hervey Bay and will provide the Club with strong leadership and direction for the future years. Contact Craig.

Chris Merrison has been elected Vice President of the Kawungan Football Club. Chris has played with Kawungan Football Club for many years as Goal Keeper for Men’s 1st Division and was the Club Registrar in 2011. Contact Chris.

Peter Arnold has stepped down as Secretary for Kawungan. Peter regrets this decision but had no choice due to other committments. This position is now vacant. Contact the Committee if you have an interest in this position.

Trish Smerdon is Craig’s wife and has supported the Club where ever possible over the years. She has a degree in Business and has been re-elected Treasurer of the Club for 2012. Contact Trish.

John-Alan King (aka JAK) has been a 1st division senior player for Kawungan Football Club for many years. He recently graduated from his accounting degree and has been elected as Registrar for 2012. Contact JAK.

Martin Mills (Marty) has been coaching junior teams for the past couple of years with his son Finn and daughter Paris and has been elected Junior Delegate for 2012. Contact Marty.

Vanessa Murray has coached, managed, and played with Kawungan Football Club for many years and currently plays for the Ladies and coaches the Under 13 and Under 16 girls. Vanessa has been elected Ladies Delegate for 2012. Contact Vanessa.

Phil Barlogie has played with Kawungan Football Club for many years and currently plays in Men’s First Division. Phil has been elected Senior Delegate for 2012. Contact Phil.

Dane Lang has played with Kawungan Football Club for many years and currently plays in Men’s [?] Division. Dane has been elected Trust Delegate for 2012. Contact Dane.

In addition to the above positions we have had a number of members who have shown an interest in assisting our Club and have become or remained Committee Members. We thank you for your continued support.
